Rules to keep in mind

Cold texting is where wholesalers get sued

  • Marketing texts sent with an autodialer to people who never gave prior express written consent carry TCPA exposure, and texting numbers on the Do Not Call Registry without consent adds more. NuVentrec won't send them.
  • In Texas, SB 140 made marketing texts telephone solicitation as of September 1, 2025, with state registration, sending hours, and private lawsuits under the DTPA.
  • Several states regulate wholesaling itself. Texas requires disclosing to the buyer that you hold an equitable interest and aren't the owner. Check your state.
